Every line carries its own running balance, the way a real ledger does. Scheduled entries appear greyed at their future date with the balance they will produce — so you see the 15th before you get to it.

The balance follows every line
Not just a total at the top of the screen. Each transaction shows the balance it leaves behind, so finding the moment the account turned takes a second.
Reconciled, matched, pending
Three states, marked with a single letter in the margin. Import a statement and Alvenera matches what it recognises, leaving the rest to your judgement.
The future is greyed, not hidden
Recurring payments appear in the ledger at their date, at 55% opacity. They count toward the balance without ever pretending to be facts.
Six screens. No filler.
Every screen earns its place in the tab bar. There is no dashboard summarising the other screens, no activity feed, no credit-card offers.
Accounts
Chequing, savings, credit cards. Actual, projected and reported balances side by side, so the gap between them is a number rather than a worry.
Analysis
Spending by category over a month, three months or the year, with last month set beside it. One ring, one numbered legend, nothing else.
Budget
Set what each category may cost this month, then watch it against the ledger. Copy last month in one gesture; nothing is guessed on your behalf.
Commitments
Recurring payments and loans with full amortization: principal, interest, payoff date and total cost. Each instalment posts to the paying account's ledger.
Import
OFX, QFX and CSV, with the format, delimiter and date pattern detected for you. Duplicates are flagged before they land, not after.
The safest place for your finances is the one nobody else can reach.
Alvenera has no server. There is no account to create, nothing to sync, and no address your data could be sent to. That is an architectural decision, not a promise in a policy.

What that means: without that password no backup can be restored — not on this device, not on another, not by us. There is no back door, because there is nobody behind the door.
Data stays where you put it
A single database file on your device. Settings shows you exactly where it is — not a vague category, the path.
A password locks the app
Optional, and honest about the trade-off: a forgotten password cannot be recovered. The app tells you so before you choose one, not after.
You decide where the backup goes
Pick a folder, a USB key, your own cloud. Alvenera writes the encrypted file and stops there.

Bring the last ten years with you.
Nobody switches ledgers in order to start from nothing. Alvenera reads what your bank exports and what your old desktop software left behind.
Import a statement
Drop in an OFX, QFX or CSV file. The format is detected, along with the delimiter and the date pattern, and you see the result before anything is written.
Reconcile against what you have
Imported entries are matched against what you already keyed in. Skipped rows are counted and shown; you match or unmatch by hand when the bank has its own idea of the date.
Bring the desktop data over
A dedicated import brings across the history from older desktop software — accounts, categories, transactions — in a single pass.
Carry on, in your language
French and English are at full parity, not a partial translation bolted on afterwards. Switch in Settings and the app follows, date and currency formats included.

We are not announcing a date until we are sure of it — a ledger shipped half-finished
to hit a date is not a ledger. What you see here is built; what remains is finishing it
properly. Write to us and you will hear on the day.
No, and that is deliberate. A bank connection implies a middleman holding your
credentials and seeing your transactions. Alvenera reads the files your bank already
gives you instead — OFX, QFX, CSV — and nothing leaves the device.
You create a backup, move it like any other file, and restore it on the new device.
If you have set an app password the backup is encrypted with it, and you will need
that same password to restore.
No. That is the exact counterpart of having no server: there is no copy of your key
anywhere. The app warns you before you choose a password, and recommends making a
backup first.
From what you entered, and nothing else. The recurring payments and loan instalments
you created are projected at their dates into the paying account's ledger. There is
no prediction, no model, no average of your habits.
Yes. French and English share one string file and the same coverage: every screen,
every error message, every prompt. Language is changed in Settings and carries the
date and currency formats with it.
Neither. There is no ad network, no telemetry, no analytics identifier. The app has
no reason to open a network connection, so it does not open one.
